Yes this is true, Premium members get the fast private onion links. If you aren't a premium member then out of luck.

I never had the chance to use Premium, but I would assume the link doesn't change and stays active even after your membership expires.

To scale out enough instances to cover a private link for every user that requests one would be extremely expensive, we don't have a whole lot of income and have burned through just about all our funds currently.
This is also something that can further harm the network putting strain where there doesn't need to be. We've always been able to maintain a primary onion address through DoS attacks and provide a real solution rather than mirror rotation or other methods. We'll have this solved soon enough.

thanks for the update and good luck. not many people can pay 600/year for a forum and i2p is difficult on tails which is the most convenient and easiest secure os. peke on alphabay forums said he is trying to make an i2p tails clone :)

It's actually $50 for "lifetime" at the moment, it has been since I implemented the store, memberships do not currently expire. It will be changed in the future with plenty of notice, but right now it is a one time payment until we can at least guarantee stability.

Probably not, I was more so saying that right now, there isn't an expiry. Maybe I overstated it by adding the word "for life" in there.

cmon, that's retarded. If someone buys it while it's lifetime you shouldn't charge them monthly when you decide for it to be subscription based. $50 lifetime sounds good, but when you start to talk about it being lifetime "for now" it doesn't sound as good.

No because it isn't "life time". We just disabled expiry for the time being to ensure everyone who does purchase has premium access for the forseeable future. There will be plenty of notice in advance to any change to that. The purchases are all made currently and still worded under the agreement that it will expire after 30 days, we have chosen to avoid the expiry for now however.

the Exposer they Dread is running at full speed is way worth the 50$ a month

Regarding your last post on /d/Squid because I was banned from their subdread.
If you can literally get a shell on their market within 2 minutes of creating an account. Why the fuck are you letting them advertise on this Dread, it's not like they can get advertisement anywhere else.
