Does anyone experience this that are on antidepressants?

by /u/letsalllovesid · 2 votes · 2 months ago

When I was on effexor for a few years, (worst years of my life and the withdrawals were horrendous), I would experience these little feeling I would have randomly in my brain called 'Brain orgasms', at least that's what I named this mysterious feeling. That's what it felt like.

explained this to my doctor and he was even confused, said that it was maybe serotonin spikes from the medicine.

But, even after I've been off this medicine for 2 years, recently I have been experiencing them again.

Does anyone experience this?

A feeling of random spikes in your head of pleasure, some kind of happiness? but goes away seconds later.

Do an internet search for "brain zaps".
