how to test a potentially compromised address?

by /u/RelativeMinds · 1 votes · 1 week ago

i ordered a pack that never came and i am not sure if it was caught in the original country, my country, or was never sent. there is no tracking.

how would i go about seeing if my address is burned or not? i know i could send myself mail but how could i make it obvious to see if they opened it or not?

Not trying to be funny but don't order international untracked. If that is the sole option move on to another vendor. Not only are you faced with your current issue but you also do not even know if the vendor scammed you and never even mailed it. Even with the extra cost involved tracking is worth it imho.

unfortunately it was the only option. i really don't think i was scammed to be honest as i have been going through him for a long time and have spent more than this time but i do know its still possible. i plan on switching vendors anyway because i cant trust that he will have completely changed the packaging and stealth for the next order... especially because i order bulk... regardless, i need to figure out a way to test and see if my address is burned.

In case it was seized, arent you supposed to receive a letter? or do they sometimes `let it go`?

well i think because its bulk, they might not send a letter. they might just hold it and start investigating. thats what ive heard at least...

No one can answer for certain unfortunately because if it was bulk and they suspected it was not dog chow they might have tried a controlled delivery. Definitely keep legit mail coming to that address especially if you order a lot online from ebay/amazon/etc and see if anything looks tampered with.

heard. i get a lot of mail there with a lot of different names. even the mail man puts the wrong mail there sometimes so there is no issue there. thank you for the advice.

this is the dark-web. anything suspect shoudl be treated as "do not trust" until such time as any suspicion is able to be alleviated.
