Do I need to install this update, and if so is there a guise to installing it?

Its a point release so probably not necessary to update unless your having issues. For tails, follow the install guide here xmrguide25ibknxgaray5rqksrclddxqku3ggdcnzg4ogdi5qkdkd2yd[.]onion if you do want to update. Just extract the new software to the same folder as the last one and backup your Monero folder before running it in case anything goes wrong.

My Monero GUI applications shortcut on tails isnt there any more after running this new version. When I looked in the dotfile it still points to the old 0.18.1.0 path even after moving the 0.18.1.0 folder to a different location, running 0.18.1.1 again and rebooting. Is there any reason not to edit the exec path in the dotfile manually to point to the new 0.18.1.1 version instead? Thanks.
