Ordering to airbnb - what name to use?

by /u/LaFlame_XX · 1 votes · 2 weeks ago

Without going into too much detail, I will be staying in an airbnb and want to get some personal amounts delivered during my stay. What name should I use on the address? I know the usual thinking behind using your real name is that it doesnt raise suspicions, but ofc I dont live there so my real name will be alien to that address. Any suggestions?

Need to make sure they dont have informed delivery, and rent the whole house.

The whole place is rented, I'm going to ask the owner if I can get personal mail delivered there and see what they say

Yes, come up with a story, say that your occupation involves constant relocation in which face to face deals are necessary in which shipments of sensitive documents for the conferences are necessary. something in this manner. or something like, you came here on business, forgot a vital component of hardware//equipment necessry for your speech/pitch and need to buy the item shipped immediately as the item unique to the equipment our company operates on and is not an item avaiilable to the public if they ask why you no go to best buy?

there is also adressing of c/o for packages, look up what it means, but some vendors dont ship/allow this which is understandable. we dont ship to c/o from new customers.

depending on the amount you intend to order, factor this in the cost for safety: order an item addressed to the owners something small and legal and see if they mesage you "hey we got a notice from ID that a package is coming? you mind taking it in so no one takes it?" tis means they have ID, or go with the alibi, good luck.

Think I'll go the story route. Already have something in mind and if all goes well with the owner I might send something legal to the address first in my name before ordering something, since my own name will never have received a package at that address before ordering drugs as the first thing probably isn't a good idea.

You have limited options. I wouldn't use the name of the owner in case they used to live there and have set up mail forwarding or something. Which leaves using your real name or a fake name. In the UK, the name doesn't matter very much (at least in urbanised areas), so a fake name would be fine as long as you're definitely going to get the mail through the letterbox. Even if LE caught the pack, you don't even live there so tying it to you is pretty much out of the question, I'd imagine.

If there's a possibility that the landlord or someone else will get to the mail before you, then your real name is a much better option. Real name is also better in the event that it's late, depending on how far away you'll be after leaving/how long you're planning to stay. If you're in a place which does pay more attention to the name (eg. the US, from what I understand), then I would guess that whether you use real or fake name, there could be a bit of extra scrutiny on the pack.

Its in the US, I might send a normal non-contraband item to the address first then order my pack
