As Titled
I know the rules. Noob to xmr, but returning dnm user from years back. Dread always been my education, now due to ddos i can maybe get on an hour or 2 per week, so be patient.
Got GUI i think DL correct and all synced w/remote node as per xmr guide here.
Pretty lost now, especially with getting my btc SAFE to my xmr, and on a couple opsec points and dont wanna mess it up before hand. Like, is it unsafe now to use private wifi w/out vpn? And I really want to full local node, but not sure if able.
If you want to help, thanks and please be patient; I will always be back, it just may take days!

bisq is great, works over tor and you hold all public keys until you start a trade with a maker/talker peer. If they take too long (1hr for instant, 24hr for normal altcoin tx) you get a cut of their security deposit.

There many others. they're all the same, NO KYC. just put in xmr address and send the BTC to the specified addy. About 30 min later (or less) you'll have your xmr. Don't use sideshift.io with a VPN from an illegal country for xmr otherwise they might cancel your swap. BISQ is great too! Of course if your a country where XMR is illegal (USA) then you must use a VPN to the exchange service.

So i take it we arent using home/private internet anymore, even with a bridge? Gonna have to get into this farther.
Looked at a few exchanges, stealth looks safe and easy, so just copy/paste my GUI addy into stealth site and trust the processes???

Use SamouraiWallet or SparrowWallet over TOR, with thoses wallets, you can CoinJoin.
For the public/private wifi, if you can only use public WiFi hot-spots without being too exposed (look Ross Ulbricht), do it just think to use a bridge, so the hot-spot doesn't knows you use TOR.
For the TOR slowdown, it's maybe the good time for you to dig into /d/I2P.

For the BTC -> XMR swap, do it with incognitochain (incognito.org) or with bisq.
