Pros/Cons Thailand?

Tell me.. What's the catch? I want to go there and live there. Good weather. Good service. Good prices. And as an extra benefit? Loads of sex.

My dream is to have a remote job or something to afford just that.

All pros. No cons. Have been over 100 times myself. Tons of people do remote working there (just depends on which time zones you're working in or if you're locked into a certain region).

You won't be able to work legal if you are working remotely. There is no visa for remote workers unless you keep on doing border runs.

Alternatively, you can go for their Elite visa but then, your income and background would be checked. Or just get married to one of them street beauty, put her on a monthly salary and both of you live your dream lives.

One of the main catches is that everyone is after your money. It's not uncommon in Asia for people to constantly sizing you up for value. Relationships with outsiders tend not to be as sincere as with their local network or family - friendships like in the west, tend not to form very often or very easily.

If you just treat it as an entertainment venue, and keep all your relationships superficial, you can reduce your risk of disappointment or worse. Marrying a local can make life easier - depending on the local... Many have bad habits, like gambling, never mind loyalty, but it is possible to avoid whores and idiots and get a true partner in crime.
