Question about Dread Premium.

by /u/PrideAndJoy · 3 votes · 3 weeks ago

If I purchase premium, do I get the private link and other benefits forever or do I have to keep paying? Are there some things i keep and some things i lose if i don't keep paying?

I don't have an issue at all with donating money to Dread and have done in the past, but $50 every month is a bit too much at the moment.

Thanks guys

Lets be honest: $50/month is bat shit crazy and yes its monthly. I wish they would make the price reasonable. I still vote on $99/year.

No it is not monthly. Memberships have not expired since they were implemented around a year ago. Expiry will not be enabled until some time after we are stable, at which point the price point will be reduced too.

That's great news! I was going off the moderator feedback in this post. I've been donating via buying awards because its cheaper.

There's no point of paying for the private links, they will soon be shut down as Dread is expected to stabilize in the coming months. I think people who pay for premium are doing it purely for the donation, but there are probably other benefits that I'm not aware of.

You can dontate by buying awards.

I think people would rather be subscribed to premium than buy 10 awards every month but whatever you say!
